Kid Ory married his first wife, Elizabeth, in New Orleans in 1911 ; their marriage was annulled in Los Angeles in 1955.
Ory's wife was called Elizabeth Davis Wallace before she married Ed, and was sometimes nicknamed Dorothy or Dort.
