Location of 1001, 33rd Street, where Ory live in the 1940s.

He (Kid Ory) and his brother  John were in some kind of partnership. Ory lived on 33rd and Central and his brother lived on 37th Street. John had this huge back yard where they were raising chickens and a few turkeys.

Joe Darensburg describes how Ory moved to Arlington Avenue.

Adress 1001, 33rd Street where Ory lived around 1944. It is not confirmed that the current house was Ory´s.

According to press accounts from 1938 it was a "nice little house."
