Ory said:
We played in the movie Benny Goodman Story in 1955. In the movie we played Original Dixieland One Step. However, there where more titles recorded, High Society, Muskrat Ramble and Savoy Blues.
We had so much success during the shooting of the movie and everybody loved the band, actors, musicians, camera men, everybody, but in the end the director Valentine Davies said angrily:
"Only one number with the Ory band, the film is called "The Benny Goodman Story, not the Kid Ory Story!!!"
