The Olso concert took place at the newly built Nordstrandshallen, a sport hall with terrible acoustic. Randi Hultin, a Norwegian jazz critic, wrote in his book ”Born under the sign of jazz”:

The first concert I reviewed was trombonist Kid Ory and his aging band at Nordstrandshallen. I wrote that the government should pay them such a big pension that they wouldn´t have to tour. They were so old, and I was incapable of appreciating their originality.
