MUSICIANS UNION CENTRAL AVENUE
William Grant Still is presented with a trophy of honor from Local 767 of the Musicians Union, of which he was a member.
Local 767 was the black musicians union in Los Angeles. It was the first to merge with the white musicians local (local 47) as "soon" as 1953, opening the way for subsequent merges in the rest of the USA.
