Management contract for Kid Ory and his Creole jazz Band, dated 2 June 1950.
The contract is signed by Barbara Ga Nung, who later married Kid Ory.
Kid Ory married his manager, Barbara Ga Nung, in San Francisco on 5th September 1955, and that they had a daughter, Babette.
Ory's stepson told me all Ory cared about was having a place to stay and a place to play. Very simple needs. In many ways a very ordinary man. I'm pretty sure this photo is from his honeymoon with Barbara in 1955.
